Learn from our expert staff as they teach a one-off workshop on a skill they are passionate about.

Laser cutters are not just for industrial manufacturing, they are also wonderful tools for designers, artists, and jewellery makers. Expand your creative horizons by learning the basics of image treatment and file setup to create a stunning wooden image.

In this workshop you will become familiar with the main operating procedures of the Trotec Speedy 300 Laser Cutter to carry out engraving and scoring on wood. No previous digital fabrication experience is necessary for this workshop. At the end you will get to leave with your own laser artwork!

What to Bring:

  • Notebook, laptop and USB stick
  • An image you would like to work with- please make your file no larger than 150mm x 100mm

This workshop is being taught by our Program Manager, Fiona Tschaut, who has been creating incredible laser etched artwork from archival and personal photographs.
